Hello, my name is Ash, I’m fundraising for my friend Motaz. Motaz is a journalist living in Gaza who has frequently been displaced from home by war. He is asking for financial assistance in order to find a place for he and his family to rebuild and survive. The following is a statement from him:
My name is Motaz, and my wife is Huda. We got married only three months before the war. We dreamed, like any family, of building our own nice little family. We worked 24/7 to make our house with bright colours, decorations and suddenly we lost everything since our first displacement. We saw the flame of fire above our heads. We spent tens of kilometers walking until we found a wall that sheltered us from the cold of winter at that time, and now we are writing the story of our fourth displacement, and we have lost everything. We have lost our happiness, our warm home, and our place. . The hot summer sand and dirty insects have become our companion,and diseases spread everywhere without any hope of mercy. You must know that the cost of living has exceeded, while there is absence of a secure income. Unfortunately, we have completely changed, We are now without any viable water. We dream of crossing the wall of life to live like others a happy life waiting our first baby like any family in this world. We dream of seeing our newborn in front of us growing in a very healthy environment not in the life of war. Unfortunately, after nine month of pregnancy of my wife, Huda and I have lost our first baby because of Gaza war and malnutrition. My wife stayed a whole week in the hospital after giving birth of Malik due to blood poisoning so doctors decided to transfer blood for her. I’m afraid of losing my beloved wife and family members. So if you can please help me get money to be able to build a safe and clean place for my little family and start again from scratch please
Today marks 600 days of brutal war, and 90 days of famine. I thank everyone who helped us survive until this moment. Moataz lost 16 kg due to lack of food and the high cost. We did tests for Hoda at a cost of $377 and we have to complete the rest of the tests after a while. The results were reassuring except for the severe weakness in the blood rate. The doctor requested good nutrition and nutritional supplements through medication. Thank you all with the tears of my wife Hoda and the prayers of my mother. We still have a road ahead of us that we want to overcome with your help. Don’t leave us alone
